Playing with the new colours. I'll miss them when they retire.
I coloured the flowers and leaves with a blender pen. The In Colour does not come in markers.
Do you regonize the horizontal strip? It was the leftover piece that I used for the water bottle . I think this will match the water bottle nicely.

Stamps-In The Spotlight and Artfully Asian
Papers-blue bayou, soft sky and whisper white
Inks-blue bayou, soft sky, river rock and groovy guava
Accessories-1/4" grosgrain ribbon and blender pen

Lunar Eclipse
This happened early Tuesday morning. My DH took a picture of the second lunar eclipse of 2007. You ask why he was up so early in the morning? No, he did not wake up early just so he could take a picture of this. He took it right after he finished work. From our back yard. Beautiful, isn't it? One of God's miracles. I mean the lunar eclipse. My DH is something else. LOL

Loot Bags
These are the loot bags I made for my two nephews' birthday on Saturday. My sister brought over three bags of goodies to go inside and said "Here, can you make loot bags for my boys?" That's all she said. I got a list of names and that was about it. So this is what I came upwith. I made two different versions. One for the boys and one for the girls. When I was making these I realized I didn't have any stamps for children except the Sporting Goods set which is now retired.
For the boys.
For the girls.

In the Spot Light Water Bottle
I forgot to post this picture of the water bottle. I stamped these water bottle for my open house and gave one to every attendee. I was able to get 5 stamped strip out of an 8.5" x 11" cardstock. I randomly stamped the cs then cut the strips out then stamped the hand stamp stamp on and taped it around the bottle. Very easy. I wanted to have a tag too but didn't have enough time. This was a last minute project.

New Set
I just love this new In the Spotlight level two hostess set. I can't wait for the new punches I ordered that goes with. It will be so much easier then cutting the designs out everytime I make a card. The new In Colour papers and ink are so pretty. I used groovy gauva paper for the background behind the big circle. Next, I stamped the snowflake stamp in purely pomegranate ink and cut the part I didn't want out. The sentiment is from Artfully Asian set.

Open House
Display table of new products, door prize, giveaways, catalogues, recruiting packet, new colour inks and papers, door prize forms, simply sent kit, and the green basket was filled with paper clips to give to everyone who attended. Oh, and the lovely business cards my husband made for me. He is such a sweety.
This was the door prize. Congrats to Jody, she won the door prize.
These were the cards from swaps of retired stamp sets. I mounted them and sold them for very cheap.

First Time Making Paper Clips
I finally made these beautiful paper clips. They were fun and easy to make. It took me a little longer because I don't have a die cut machine. I used the daisy punch and punched out with cardstocks and cereal boxes. The ceral box made it a little sturdier. Normally people use chipboard but I didn't have any.
These are the finished paper clips. I hot glued the flowers together sandwitching the paper clip and ribbon. I gave one to everyone who attended my open house on Saturday.
This was before I glue the flowers together

My Little Helpers
I was doing my swaps and the kids wanted to help. I let them help and they were just thrilled!
Jarod and Faith helped put the brads on the flowers. I'm so glad they helped me. It would have taken me forever to finish.
This was what I did. I stamped the flowers with Basic Black then coloured it in with Tempting Turquois marker. After I had done this I realized that I could have just stamped with black ink onto the Tempting Turquois cardstock then cut them out. I didn't have to do the extra step. You can see the finished card at the previous post.
