Altered Gum Tins

Happy Monday everyone! I altered a few of these gum tins over the weekend. I'll be altering a lot more of these this coming week. My brother gave me a box of these tins many years ago. I move them with me to every house I move too. I could never think of what to do with them until now. They were filled with gum that tastes okay but they stick to your teeth. I emptied them and will be filling them with other kind of treats. These alter tins will be for my sisters to give away this year. I made Christmas favours for them every year to give away. They always enjoyed them and of course the recipient love them too.

I measured the tin to get the measurements so I can cover it with Designer Series Paper. I used all the retired papers I have on hand for these tins. I die cut the snowflakes using the Northern Frost Die. Such a nice snowflakes die. The little flowers are made using the Trio Flower Punch. I punch a hole on each side of the tin with a Crop-a-dile. So easy with the Crop-a-dile. I don't have to drill holes anymore. Yay! These tins can also be hang on a Christmas tree as ornaments. Now I'm off to finish altering the tins.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Deanna, Where did your brother find the tins you used? I am interested in getting some. If you have a lot of them, would you be willing to sell me a few? Blessings, MaryS

Hi Mary,

I got these years ago and I just altered them all for my sisters. I had only 100 of these tins. They were fighting (not literally) to get the first dips. Sorry, I don't have any for sale. They were promotional gum in the tins. I think it didn't do too well cause they are no where to be found. I'm looking for more of these tins too.:(
