My DH has a new blog!

My DH is now on the stamping war path. Months of his so called laziness has inspired him to stamp and make cards again! You can check out his latest creation at his new blog at www.cardboardcards.blogspot.com. There he makes cards with cardboard of all things. He thinks it is going to be the next big thing!

I know that he is trying to make ends meet and life a little easier. It's just taking longer than he wants it to. He is going to sell all his creations at his Etsy store. Pray for him. He is trying hard to support us. The bus company called him last week and he is back on the spare list. It's a long go but he is glad to be back with them. He will be training to up his drivers license to class 2. It means he can drive a bus that has more than 24 passengers.

Manhatten Floral Bithday

Happy Monday, everyone! Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers for my littlest one. She was coughing a little in the morning but then by the afternoon she was ok. Now she have a sniffle only. We ended up going to church which was wonderful. Got to hear a missionary to Romania speak. Also, it was my first day back singing in the choir. It has been 6 years since I sang in the choir. I didn't know the song we sang but I think I did pretty well singing it. Besides, I can always lip sink if I don't know the song. lol That's the beauty of singing in the choir. People are not listening just you alone but the whole choir.

I made this card with the Manhatten Flower Embossing Folder. Love it! To get the look of yellow on the flower I used a sponge dauber, picked up the so saffron pastel colour and then rubbed it onto the flower in a circular motion. I rubbed more pastel into the are where I wanted to be darker. Isn't it pretty? It is so soft looking.

Supplies:
stamp-it's your birthday
paper- whisper white, so saffron
ink- basic black
accssories- pastels, sponge dauber, wasabi ribbon, Manhatten Flower Embossing folder, Big Shot, double retagnle punch

Note Pad Holder

Hello, stampers! Today I'm showing a note pad holder I received at a Stampin'Up! Regional here in Vancouver 3 years ago. A lady I sat with gave it to me. She was so nice and I didn't even know her. I copy the measurements and made one out of Soft Suede cardstock.

I used the Damask Texturz Plate for the embossed background.

Here is the inside of the holder. The measurements are 5 1/2" x 7 1/2". Score at 3 1/4", 3 5/8" and 4".

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Baby Shower Gift

Happy Saturday! I went boating today with my husband and other people from our church. We road on the canoe and it was tiring. It was fun though and it was nice to do something without kids for once.

I went to a baby shower last night. This was the gift I gave to the baby. I make a paint can for every baby when they are born. Very nice and useful for keeping little baby things in for memory. I know lots of moms love this paint can and I do too.

I used the It's A Boy Simply Scrapin' Kit (retired) to make the paint can, a Top Note album and a card. I don't have anymore matching ribbons left so I just used what I got.

A close up of the card. I used the Baby's First (retired) stamp set. I'll never sell this set. It is so cute!

A close up of the Top Note album. I wanted an album that is small enough to fit in the can so I used the Top Note die to make it. The image of the baby was from the Welcome, Little One (retired) stamp set. The sentiment on the card was from this set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Summer Fun Friday Giveaway #10

Happy Saturday! A Friday giveaway on a Saturday. Didn't have much time to stamp this week. Taking care of 5 children is a lot of work. I really admire those who have 5 or more children of their own and are able to be a SU demonstrator. Three children are good enough for me.

Are ready for another giveaway? I'm giving away this card with some random colours of scallop circles pieces for you to make your own cards with. The image is from the Razzle Dazzle stamp set and I use the In Colour markers to colour the flowers. I'm so glad SU came up with the markers for the In Colour.

To win this simply comment on this post and I'll pick a name on Monday 9 pm Pacific Time. Good luck and have a great weekend!
