French Foliage Thank You Card

Good day! I made a simple "thank you" card using the French Foliage stamp set. The leaf is very light in colour after I embossed the white card stock. Next time I'll use a darker colour ink so it'll show up more. I like how the card turn out even though it is hard to see the images.

I have been busy moving my stamping supplies to a different room (would love to have my own stamping room) and purge what ever I don't need or want anymore. I'm not done yet. Takes forever it seems. I can't believe I have so many stamping supplies that I haven't use. Time to do something with them.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Sharing In Your Sorrow Card

Hi, stampers! While I was on my vacation my Pastor's dad passed away. Pastor told us that he was given a special funeral service because he served in the marine when is was young. I think that was awesome.

I made this card for my Pastor for condolence. I have not stamp for awhile and was rusty at making this card. I was stuck on ideas. Hopefully once my kids go back to school I'll have more time to stamp  and get my mojo back.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

The Secret Trip

Hello, everyone! It has been awhile since I last post. Been away a lot. I helped out at my church annual camp Y.E.S! for a week a half, come home for few days just so I can do the laundry, packed again and then off on a trip for my husband Martin's 40th birthday. Remember back in December I made a tag for him as a Christmas present? On it I wrote that he is going on a secret trip for his birthday. Well, last week we went on the secret trip. I didn't tell him what he is getting into until 12 mins before we arrived at our destination. It was a special meeting so I wanted him to be very surprise. I kept it from him for 8 months and it was not easy to do. So, what I did was I asked a pastor to play for Martin for an hour. Martin loves his style of music. The pastor agreed so we flew all the way to Connecticut to meet him. From the west coast to the east coast. Pastor Cary Schmidt is very nice, funny and easy to talk to. It was a privilege to meet him and his family. We had fun listening and watching him play and fellowship with him and his wife. Martin's heart is content now that he met Cary Schmidt. Cary Schmidt also writes many helpful and encouraging books that can be purchase at Striving Together Publications. You can also get his music there too. He has a blog that I love to visit and truly is an encouraging blog. It has help me a lot.

Thank you for stopping by! I will post some creative things for you to see soon.

Crochet Flowers With Matching Box

I made a cute little for putting the crocheted flowers in.

Here's a close up of a paper flower I made using the Floral Frames Framelits. I cut 3 out and stacked them together to form a 3D flower.

The ribbon holds the box together. It is not attach to the box so it can be easily slide in and out.

I crocheted 2 roses for my friend. One pink and one red. I know she likes red but not too sure about the pink colour. They look good together in the box though.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! Happy Stamping!

Flowery Birthday Cards

I tried something new this weekend. I made 2 birthday cards with cut out flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set.

This card has pink flower on it. I used a pink marker to colour the flower.

This card has a white flower on it. I got lazy and didn't want to colour the flower. I like the way it is.

I stamped the flowers twice for each flowers and then cut them out. Did some bending to them and then layer them together. Very pretty! I love it a lot. They need to be put into a larger envelope because of the raised flower. The regular A2 size envelope will not fit.

Globe Thank You Card

Hi, stampers! Not much stamping done lately. I was sick for almost 2 weeks. Another flu. Sigh! This is my fourth one this year. Couldn't get clean my house all those days.

Anyway, I'm happy I was able to get some card making this past weekend. I had the globe image sitting on my desk for awhile and finally made a card with it. Just a simple card but I love it because it is in blue colour.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Story Tags

Hi stampers,

As you all know, my DH has an etsy store that sells tags. Price tags, labels etc. for crafts and pricing things. Just a few weeks ago he was asked for a custom cut order of thick mat board circles. It was just an ordinary tag order but had to be rushed. Anyways, he fulfilled the order and shipped it to the destination earlier than expected. Today he got a letter detailing to him what the tags were used for. To make a long story short here is a quote of the letter he got and some pics.

"Martin - forgive the time it took for me to get back to you.

Enclosed are a couple of pictures. We are a children's

program for kids who have had someone in their family die.

We used your discs to tell the story of the death - and then

decorated a container for the story - - I hope the pics are

explanatory -"

Needless to say this has brought tears to our hearts. We just wanted to share with you the good that some people are doing for children that suffer loss in this world.

Thank you for stopping by!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Baby Thank You Cards

Happy Friday everyone! I made a set of baby "thank you" cards for an upcoming baby shower.  Mothers always need a "thank you" to thank people for all the gifts for the baby.

The design and layout are the same for both cards. Only the card base is in different colours. Aren't the little baby bear cute? I love it! I used SU markers to colour the bears.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Family Camping Journals

Happy Canada Day!

Hello, stampers! I just got back from my family annual camping trip. We do this every year with my side of the family. We went to Cultus Lake this year. There were 27 of us and that was not all that was present. Jarod and a few others didn't come this year. We had to book 4 sites still and the sites at this camp ground were smaller than the other sites we've been too. We had a good time even though the sites were small. The kids went to a waterslide park but I didn't get to go. I was not a happy camper then but today I realized I probably wont enjoy it anyway. I'm afraid of heights and I saw a few slides that you have to climb up to the top before you slide down and they were pretty high. I'm glad I didn't get to go. God knows me better than I know myself. He was taking care of me.

Faith loves to write about her trips and every year she asks me to make one for her. This year she gave me at least a week notice. Other years she would ask me to make it the day before.

This year I only made 2. One for Faith and one for Hope. Here is the inside of the journal. I stamped every pages. I used the Under the Stars and Backwoods stamp sets. There is this new The Great Outdoors stamp set in the catalogue that I want to get from Stampin'Up! It has everything in this set that is perfect for the camping journals.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Canada Day!

Daily Craft TV and a Giveaway

Hello, stampers! Have you heard of Daily Craft TV before? It is a great site. Daily Craft TV is a community showing new craft ideas & projects with online webinar videos. Expert instructors provide online craft classes in Quilting, Scrapbooking, Sewing, Crocheting, Knitting, & Paper Crafts.

I viewed one of their videos on Scrapbooking and I'm happy with it. The video is called Material Girl Scrapbooking Class. I love Creating Keepsakes magazine and the video I watched the instructor is from Creating Keepsakes. Squeal! That was awesome! This class teaches you a step-by-step instructions to make a 2 pages layout. The instructor gives you other option of materials to use if you don't have the product that was suggested in the video. Whatever you have on hand. You learn new technique on paper piercing and hand stitch embroidery onto the layout. That's something fun to do if you love sewing but you don't have to know a whole lot of sewing to do this. If you love flowers you'll love this class. It teaches you how to make four different flower accents that goes nicely onto your pages using buttons, felts and embroidery floss and other notions. I can't tell you enough how fun it is to watch the video. I'm inspired now to do scrapbooking again. It's been awhile. I got piles and piles of picture that need to be scrapbook.

Daily Craft TV has graciously giving away a FREE class to one of my readers. To win a free class simply visit their site, come back and leave a comment on which class interests you or just comment is fine. I'll pick a winner on July 3, 2013 at 10pm Pacific time. Have fun!

Graduation Caps For The Graduates

This year there was a lot of high school graduates from my church. There were 12 of them. I made the cards using the Great Grads stamp set (retired). I made the cards first so they were in black and white.

I made the caps after the cards and didn't have enough black card stock so I made 3 caps in black for the boys and the 9 red caps for the girls. The reds caps didn't match the cards but it still look nice.

ETA: You can get the grad hat tutorial here.

Aren't these grad caps the cutest ever?

The grad caps are little treat boxes and were filled with yummy treats. The boxes were made using the Petal Cone Die which I love so much and use it a lot but now it is retired from Stampin'Up!

Those are buttons at the top of the cap to hold the tassels down.

The card and cap was put together in a cello bag and tied it with ribbons to pretty up the packaging.

Thank you for visiting today! Happy Stamping!

Bunny Baby Card

Hello, stampers! Hope you are having a wonderful Friday. I made this card for baby Marianne. She's so adorable. I used the A New Little Someone stamp set to make this card. Love the cute little bunny!

I crochet a multi colour hat for the baby. I love the colour combo! You can watch a video on how to make this hat here. This time I adhere the flower to the hat with a button and the flower and button are removable.

Crochet Brooch

Hello, stampers! Good day! I crocheted a rose brooch for a friend's birthday. Her favourite colour red so I made a red one for her. You might remember if you have been following my blog for a long time the brooch I made here a couple of Christmas ago. I did some adjustment to the rose. I didn't like the one I made for before. It was too flimsy.

I stamped a piece of card stock, put the stamp piece and the brooch in a cello bag and then put a topper on top. A pretty presentation.

Graduation Cards

My nephew Alex had his grad ceremony yesterday. He graduated from grade 12 and this was the card I made for him. It took me about 10 minutes to make this card. Wow! I've never made a card this fast before.

Here Alex and me.

Hope (6 yrs old) had to get in on it too so this was what she came up with. Isn't it a beautiful card? She amazes me all the time. Faith helped her with the letters.

I love the cap and the diploma she made. So cute! I love the tassel too! I don't know how she came up with it nor do I know how she knows about the cap and diploma are for graduation. She is full surprises.

This is the best part of the card. Under their names there is a fine print that made me laugh so hard. So hilarious! Must be Faith who wrote that. She is so funny! Love my girls!

Little Girls' Birthday Cards

Good day! I made two birthday cards for 2 little girls' birthday this week. I have not stamp much lately so I really enjoyed making these cards. Stamping makes me happy. I know it is weird but it keeps me calm and helps me relax from my busy day.

I used one of the Simply Scappin' Kit to make these cards. It is easy and fast for me when I don't have a lot of time to come up with a card that uses stamps. Only used stamp for the sentiment.

Thank you for visiting today! Happy Stamping!

Launch Out Thank You Cards and Box

Good day stampers! I finally finished decorating the box I made here. I made matching cards to go inside the box. I used The Open Sea stamp set that I love so much and sad it is retiring to make the cards and box. I never get tire of this stamp set.

I got my inspirations from the back cover of the Baptist Voice magazine from Lancaster Baptist Church. I love reading this magazine. Lots of great articles to read.

Box cover.

The box holds 6 cards and envelopes comfortably.

Vacation Pictures

Hello, stampers! I don't have any creative things to show you today but just a couple of pictures we took while on vacation last week. It was an anniversary/family/Mother's Day vacation. We went to Seaside, Oregon. We love that place and really had a good time. The picture above was taken on our 17th anniversary day. We invited one of our friend and her family on vacation with us. They watched ours kids so that we were able to go on a date on our anniversary. She is a wonderful friend. Not only did she watched our kids on our anniversary but also took care of our food bill while we were there. She was such a blessing! God is so good!

We made it a tradition to take special pictures by the beach while at Seaside. Above is one of the pictures of our kids. They are all grown up now from the last time we were at Seaside. You can see the pictures from 5 years ago here.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
