Just Because

 Happy Thursday, everyone!

I got this Notably Ornate stamp set for awhile and finally ink it up. I have been busy cleaning up my stamping stuff ready to sell. I'm finally going to sell my old and retired stamp sets. I can't bear to let them go but I've got to make room for new ones. I'll be listing the stamps sets and supplies for sale soon.

I made the little flowers with the Trio Flower punch. Bunch them all together to make a bigger flower. I used the Lace Ribbon Border punch to make the pink ruffle around the red flowers. Very pretty! It kind of look like a flower bouquet on a card. My daughter love those little flowers. She ask me make her a whole bunch out of different colours. She had put them on birthday presents and even for boy presents also. She is so silly but love to craft with me. She is always around when I do my stamping. Such a little helper.

Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!

Paper Carnation Tutorial

Happy Friday everyone! I have a tutorial for you. I'm going to show you how to make a paper carnation.

I realized that my photo does not have every materials in there so I'll just list them out for you.

 You'll need:
Whisper White Card Stock (but any card stock will do)
 Ink Pad (any colour)
1-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch
Piercing Tool
Matt Pack (foam part)
1 Brad
Spray Water Bottle
Sponge
Stamp Cleaner Pad

1.Punch 6 scallops out, pierce a hole in each scallops and then sponge them on both sides.

2.Put the scallops onto the Stamp Cleaner Pad and spray them with water on both sides.

3.With you fingers, scrunch up the 6 scallops.

4.Open the scallops up.

5.Put a brad through the hole of each scallops and fasten it up at the back.

6.Start with the middle scallop and push it into the middle. Work one scallop piece at a time.

7.This is how it should look like after you pushed all the scallop pieces to the middle. The purple flower is a dry one and the red one is still wet. See the difference in the size? They shrink after the flower is dry but not too much. Let the flower dry over night. Now you can put the flower onto your creation.

Hope you enjoy the tutorial! Let me know what you think. Have a good day.

Happy Stamping!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #221 and SUO Challenge 28, Fall Colors

Here a Sketch Challenge #221 over at Stamping 411. My first time joining in on the fun.
I'm also joining in on the SUO Challenge 28. This is also my first time joining the challenge at this site. Hope this is ok to post 1 card for 2 different places.

I love the fall season so here is a card I made using the French Foliage stamp set again. I did the Faux Tearing Technique for the background. I tore a piece of scrap paper, put on the white card stock and then stamp away. I sponge the edges before I take the paper off. This technique makes nice background paper to match the colours you need for your creations.

Thank you for stopping by!

Dasher Holiday Centre Step Card

Hello, there! How about a Christmas card? I know. It's still early to think about Christmas. I do want to make lots this year early so I'll have them ready to give out when Christmas comes around. I didn't give out any last year and I wasn't going to give a store bought cards either. It's just not the same anymore after I learn to make greeting cards.

This is a center step card. It folds down and you can put it in an envelope. I used a piercing tool to pierce the circle around Dasher. For the scallop circle I used a 1/16" hole punch to punch around it.

I added felt snowflakes at the top and bottom of the card. This really made the card stands out.

I'm going to link this card to So Shelli Christmas Card Creative Challenge.

Thank you for visiting today!

Supplies:
stamps- Dasher, Occasional Quotes (hostess set)
papers- real red, chocolate chip, old olive
inks- chocolate chip, riding hood red
accessories- felt snowflakes, rhinestone brads, 1/8" grosgrain ribbon, 1-3/4" and 2-1/2"  circle punches, 2-3/8" scallop circle punch, 3" circle die, Big Shot die cutting machine

Vogue Flowers Birthday Card

 Hello there! How's everyone today?

I made this card and a set of it to give to a friend for her birthday coming up soon. I hope she find these cards useful. I'm trying to get ahead of myself here. Now that school has started I don't have much time to stamp.

I stamped the flowers and individually cut them all out and mounted them onto the card. Lots of work but it made the card looked pretty.

Thank you for stopping by!

Supplies:
stamps- Vintage Vogue, En Francis
papers- ruby red, whisper white, river rock, chocolate chip
inks- ruby red, river rock, chocolate chip
accessories- brads

Faux Tearing Fall Leaves

Hi, stampers! Hope you all had a wonderful Labour Day long weekend. We went to Seattle on Friday and visited the Pacific Science World (I think that's the name) and the Pike street Public Market Place. We didn't know it closes at 5pm so we didn't get to see much of the market place. We stayed overnight in Tulalip and went home on Saturday. Went dim sum and shop in China Town and did some preparing for school on Monday. That was my long weekend. Not very exciting.

Today my kids started their first day of school. They did well until their friends kept ringing and knocking on the door every 30 minutes (literally) to ask if my kids could come out to play. Well, my kids are home school so they do a full day of school. They don't have the same schedule as the public school kids. No playing until they finished their lessons. I have to be tough with them. lol

Anyway, on to the card. I did the faux tearing technique for the background on a light colour card stock. Add some elements and the card was done. Very simple technique.

Thank you for visiting today!

Supplies:
stamps- French Foliage, Faith in Nature
papers- crushed curry, dusty darango, naturals ivory
inks- dusty darango, crushed curry, soft suede, crumb cake, ruby red, always artichoke
accessories- 1/8" taffeta ribbon, polka-dots grosgrain ribbon, word window punch, modern label punch, sponge

Happy Stamping!
