Your Opinion Please?

I made two cards almost the same and I would like to know which one is better. One have a square cs behind the scalloped flower and the other have a circle behind it. I used the In The Spotlight stamp set and Print Pattern for the background. The sentiment was from Baroque Motifs set. I'm going to change the sentiment to "Thank You." I'm behind on thank you cards.

Seasons Greetings!

Well, it is not Christmas yet but it sure felt like it today. It was so cold in the morning I thought it was winter time. Then the sun came out in the afternoon.

Another card using the Snow Burst set and the new taffeta ribbon. It is so nice and thin. Not so bulky when I make a bow. I put dots all around the scallop edge with the white gel pen.

Materials Used:
Stamps-Snow Burst, Many Merry Messages
Papers-bashful blue, whisper white, brocade blue
Inks-bashful blue, brocade blue
Accessories-taffeta ribbon, scallop punch, white gel pen, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" punch

Baby Shower Gift

Made these note cards to go in the memory can for a baby shower on Saturday. I even stamped the envelopes. I normally don't stamp envelopes. It is not that I'm lazy I just forget all the time so I'm proud of myself for remembering it this time. lol
I didn't stamp any sentiment. I left them blank so the lady can use them as thank you cards or for other baby shower cards.

Materials Used:
Stamp-Bundle of Joy
Papers-pixie pink, basic black and whisper white
Inks-basic black and rose red
Accessories-scallope punch, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punch, marker and taffeta ribbon

Stamping On Tile

First try on these tiles. They are fun to make.
I stamped with Stayon ink and then coloured it in with pastels. After I sealed it with Krylon sealer (you can use hairspray too) for protection from usage. Then I put 4 rubber stoppers in the back. They make cool gifts.

A fellow demonstrator taught me how to make this box. You can put small things in it and give it as gifts. The recipient can empty what is inside before hanging it on the tree. Makes a really nice tree ornament. I don't have the string on mine for hanging. Just pock two holes on the narrow back panel and put a ribbon through it. The new elastic cord in the new Holiday mini catalogue will work well with it too.

Christmas Card

My first Christmas card of the year. I love Christmas. My first Christmas in Vancouver was in 1980. It was a very long time ago and I loved it very much. I remembered I received lots of gifts for the very first time. We never had that in my home country, Vietnam. We were lucky if we even have food to eat let alone gifts. So that year was very special to me. Now I get to celebrate Christmas with my DH and three beautiful children. God is good to us.

Anyways, back to the card. Not so triditional colour of red and green. The card base is River Rock cardstock with Chocolate Chip cs for matting. I used the new 1st level hostess set Sidekick Sayings and 2nd level hostess set In the Spotlight. The double stitch ribbons are very nice. I love ribbons and use them a lot. The flower was punched out using the five petal flower punch, put a brad through it then mounted on with dimensional.

Workshop Card

I made this card last month at a workshop for a hostess. She likes simple cards so this was what I came up with. I give everything I demo that night to the hostess.

I stamped on the twill tape and adhered across the card. Normally I would stamped on twill tape with craft ink and heat set it but the new In Colour doesn't come in craft. I don't think anybody will wash their card. lol

Materials Used:
Stamp-Artfully Asian
Papers-whisper white and river rock
Inks-river rock and wild wasabi
Accessories-twill tape and brads

Thank You Artfully Asian

Playing with the new colours. I'll miss them when they retire.

Do you regonize the horizontal strip? It was the leftover piece that I used for the water bottle . I think this will match the water bottle nicely.

Materials Used:
Stamps-In The Spotlight and Artfully Asian
Papers-blue bayou, soft sky and whisper white
Inks-blue bayou, soft sky, river rock and groovy guava
Accessories-1/4" grosgrain ribbon and blender pen

Lunar Eclipse

This happened early Tuesday morning. My DH took a picture of the second lunar eclipse of 2007. You ask why he was up so early in the morning? No, he did not wake up early just so he could take a picture of this. He took it right after he finished work. From our back yard. Beautiful, isn't it? One of God's miracles. I mean the lunar eclipse. My DH is something else. LOL

Loot Bags

These are the loot bags I made for my two nephews' birthday on Saturday. My sister brought over three bags of goodies to go inside and said "Here, can you make loot bags for my boys?" That's all she said. I got a list of names and that was about it. So this is what I came upwith. I made two different versions. One for the boys and one for the girls. When I was making these I realized I didn't have any stamps for children except the Sporting Goods set which is now retired.

For the boys.

For the girls.

Materials Used:
Stamps-Sporting Goods, Delight in Life and Brushstroke Alphabet
Papers-whisper white, basic black, real red
Inks-basic black, real red, groovy guava, wild wasabi, pretty in pink, only orange, ruby red
Accessories-white lunch bag, square and circle punch

In the Spot Light Water Bottle

I forgot to post this picture of the water bottle. I stamped these water bottle for my open house and gave one to every attendee. I was able to get 5 stamped strip out of an 8.5" x 11" cardstock. I randomly stamped the cs then cut the strips out then stamped the hand stamp stamp on and taped it around the bottle. Very easy. I wanted to have a tag too but didn't have enough time. This was a last minute project.

Materials Used:
Stamp-In the Spotlight, Hand Made
Papers-whisper white
Inks-wild wasabi, river rock, soft sky, blue bayou and purely pomegranate
