Card Box Tutorial

Instead of giving you just the measurements to the box you see here I've decided to make a tutorial. I'm a picture person so describing in words is hard for me.

I did some decorating to the box but not finish yet. I'll post the finish product when it is done. Meanwhile enjoy the tutorial! The box can hold 6 cards plus envelopes.

supplies: Stampin'Up! products

-7-14" x 8-1/4" crumb cake card stock
-8-12/" x 9-1/2" crumb cake card stock
-Simply Scored Scoring Tool
-Sticky Strip
-scissor

1.Score the  8-12/" x 9-1/2" crumb cake card stock at 1-3/4" on all 4 sides. This piece is the box. Set it aside.

2.Score the 7-14" x 8-1/4" crumb cake card stock at 1" on all 4 sides. This piece is the lid.

3.Snip all 4 corners of both pieces up to where the score lines meet. Add Sticky Strips to all the corner flaps as shown in the photo.

4.Adhere the box together. Adhere the lid together.

5.You're done. Decorate as desire.

Thank You Cards and Matching Box

Happy Friday! I made some "thank you" cards and thought I would make a matching box to hold the cards. These are the same cards I made a week ago. I just add different sentiment to the cards.

Top of the box. I added 2 butterflies to the box. The added touch made the box look really pretty.

Now who'll I give this box to? Gotta check my calendar to see who's birthday is coming up next.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Showered With Love Baby Shower

It's raining inside! lol Last week a friend and I decorated for the baby shower. This was the shortest time I ever got for me to make stuff for the baby shower. They usually give me at least 3 weeks notice to come up with the decorations. I'm glad I wasn't the one who had to come up with the theme. The theme was "showered with love." We decorated the shower with clouds, raindrops and hearts.

I made the banner using the Stampin'Up! Hearts Collection Framelits. I'm so glad for the framelits. It made cutting so much easier.

We hung the raincoats  on a hook and filled the boots with fresh flowers.

This one was my favourite boot. It was a size 4 boot and it was so cute with the flowers in it.

Side view of the boot.

I made a template for the clouds, trace it onto plastic table cloth and then sewed them together. Then my friend stuffed the clouds with tissue papers. She added Easter grass at the bottom of the clouds to make it look like rain. So clever! I made a template for the raindrops too so my friend can trace it and cut them out.

I used the same cloud template and made a pillow for the expectant mother. The hearts cut from the same heart framelits as the banner. I hand sewed around the hearts to attach them to the pillow. I wanted to do the blanket stitch but totally forgot how to do it. Didn't have a lot of time to figure it out how to do the blanket stitch.

Banner of clouds at the gifts table.

These clouds were made from felts and stuffed with poly fill.  I hand stitch the clouds using embroidery floss.

A beautiful cake made by one of the ladies at church.

The expectant mother. Still look pretty at 35 weeks.

Love her surprise look. lol I crocheted a dress and 3 hats for the baby, the sister and the mother.

A better picture of the dress. i forgot to take a picture of the dress and the hats before I gave it to her.
No card. I'm ashamed. Was too busy making the decorations I totally forgot.

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you enjoy looking at the baby shower pictures.

Mom's Birthday Card

Hello, stampers! I made a sympathy card yesterday  and I like so today I made a birthday card. I use the same stamp set for the main image and happy birthday sentiment instead of sympathy sentiment. I use the same colour combo but this time the card base is Only Orange card stock. Ooo... I love the colours of this card. So vibrant! I know my sister will love this card for sure because she loves orange but this is for my mom's birthday.

Thank you for visiting today! Have a good weekend and happy stamping!

With Sympathy Card

A simple sympathy card. I use the Upsy Daisy stamp set for main image and the Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment. Not my usual colour combo to use but it is pretty together.

A friend's dad passed away yesterday and this is the card I made for her. Please pray for Lisa and her family. Her dad loved the Lord when he was here on earth and now he is with God up in heaven. We praise God for that! Some day we'll see him again up in heaven.

I have a couple of questions for you. Where will you spend eternity when you die? Where will your soul be? We never know when our last breath is here on this earth. I can tell you that you can know for sure where you'll spend eternity when you die. All you need to do is confess that you are a sinner, ask Jesus to forgive you and ask Him into your heart and save you. It is that easy. You can read more about to get saved in this e-book Done. If you can't read the e-book let me know and I'll send a free book to you.
