This was one of the project I sent in for the November contest but didn't win. I really like it a lot. The heart was puff up with tissue paper from the inside. I then put Crystal Effect on the heart. It is really pretty in real life.

Christmas Cards I Received
Here are some handmade Christmas cards I received this year.
From my upline Caroline Lebel. She sent me a tin filled with a pouch of hot chocolate, mini candy canes and SU! exclusive Top Note die card.
Next, is a card from a blogging friend, Rita. She used embossing folder to create the snowy houses scene. I love the shimmery gold cardstock she used. It is so pretty.
This is from Alice from church. She did a window on a parchment paper to reveal the snowman image.
This is from Marlene. She did a circle card this year. It is fasten by an eyelet and you just swing the front to one side to see the inside of the card.
The "M" is cut out and you can see a little bit of the snowflake on the outside.
Happy New Year!

Birthday Thank You Cards
This was the birthday "Thank Yous" for Faith's and Hope's birthday. It was on the back burner because of all the Christmas things I had to do. Well, they're all done and hand deliver. Feel so much lighter now that they are out of my hands.
Hope you all had a restful and blessed Christmas. We woke up late and had a big breakfast and then open presents after. Normally we would open presents first then eat. This year everything seems to be different from our normal Christmas day activities. After, we watched "Little House On the Prairie" all day till 1 in the morning the next day. I love "Little House On the Prairie". I remember watching it when I first came to Canada. Didn't know English much but it was nice just to watch the pictures. Now I can understand the stories better.

Merry Christmas!
For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: ...and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 2:10-14
Merry Christmas!
Wishing you all a safe and joyful Christmas! Thank you for visiting my blog.

Book Markers
I made these book markers last minute for my sisters. They all love to read and I know it will be useful. They will use it for sure cause each one is personalized with their initial. I made one for myself, too.
Here is a close up one.
I put Crystal Effect on all the front of the book markers for wear and tear. I used CE also to glue the stamped pieces to the hodgepodge hardware.
Happy Holidays!

Tea Bag Holder
This was one of the favors I was going to make for the Ladies' Christmas Tea. I don't think it will go well with the pink princess theme we did. But I really like it. This tea bag holder holds two tea bags. All materials here I used are retired. I really need to use them up for new products in January.
Here is the inside view of the holder.
Hope you all a happy Monday and have fun in the snow. We had 10" of snow yesterday. The kids are so happy to see snow but not so much for the adults who have to go to work. For those who get tons of snow every year you got to understand that we hardly get snow here. When it does people panic. They don't know what to do.
Merry Christmas!

For the Piano Teacher
This gift and card is for Jarod's piano teacher. I tried to match the card with the wrapping paper. What do you think. Is it close enough?
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone are almost done with their Christmas shopping. I have a few more to buy. It'll be crazy shopping at this time in the mall.

Snowy Day
We got lots of snow here today. It is rare we got snow here in Vancouver. It is so nice to see the snow falling down.
My kids were so excited to go out to play. I took some pictures of them playing in the snow.
Hope was fascinated by the snow.
Sorry, for not having projects to show you I have not stamp much lately. Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Holidays!

Place Setting From The Ladies Christmas Tea
Here are some close up photos of the place setting from the Ladies Christmas Tea. i put crystal effect on all the poinsettias and pretty beads in the middle.
I got my DH to print out the word princess on a piece of white card stock then I mounted the word onto brushed silver card stock. I made blank oval name card so whoever sits at our table they can write their names on it. You can't see it too well in the picture but I wrote my name in silver ink.
This is a mini purse with a chocolate inside. It was too pretty that the ladies was afraid to rune the purse if they take the chocolate out. I covered the chocolate with a Bella Rose DSP.
A lady sat at our table had a Polaroid camera so we took a picture of the ladies individually, cut and mounted the photo right there that night. This is a magnetic picture frame that we can put on our fridge.

Ladies Christmas Tea
We had our tea party tonight and it was so much fun. It was nice to see everyone's table all decorated differently.
Here are photos of the tables. Skip this post if you are not interested in reading.
This was our table. We did a pink princess theme.
This was our simple centre piece. Very simple.
These are all the place settings I made. I did poinsettias for the Christmas season.
Our group photo wearing our crown.
This was a contest each table did. Each table got a snowman cake (not decorated) with frostings and candies to decorate. We didn't win but we had fun decorating. I don't have the other table's snowmen because I was using my friend's camera.I took a picture of the guest picture but it didn't turn out too good. I was challenged by the message she brought to us. Thank you Susan. You can visit her blog here.
Phew! This was a lot pf photos to upload. Sorry, for the long post.

Burnaby Village Museum
Went to Burnaby Village Museum tonight. We experience the life in 1920s. It was fun but cold outside! I love going there.
This is a very tiny house in that village. The ladder on the wall there was where you go up to sleep. We didn't actually get to go in the house but took picture at the doorway. It was section off.
The other side of the house from the doorway view.
This is the inside of a tiny church. People have weddings here. I'm not sure how many it sits. This was also taken at the doorway.
This is the front of a tram but the tram can go either way. It was owned by an Electric company. This tram have electricity and heated.
This is the none smoking side. Did you know that the back of the seats are movable? The tour guide said that you'll always face forward which ever way the tram travel. There is no loop for it to go around but back the same way it came from.
This is where the conductor stand.
This is the smoking section of the tram. Only male was allowed to sit here. Back then women doesn't or allow to smoke.
There is a very famous Carousal ride in the village. My kids love this place. Hope did not want to leave when we rode the last ride of the night. I had to tell her that the horses needs to go to sleep and she was okay with that. Phew!
Well, that was the highlights of our night. Thanks for stopping by!

Desk Top Calendar
This was our project for last months Craft Night. All the ladies made at least two calendars and we did not finish until 11 pm. I guess if they did only one maybe we'll earlier. Oh, well! I plan it better next year and make it simpler.
I don't have the bind it all machine so I used two key ring to hold the calendar together.

Gift Tags
I made some gift tags to put on the gift this Christmas. I usually just write the names on the box and never dress them up. This year will be different.

It was fun sewing with all the ladies last night. There were really big angel customs we made and some ladies tried them on. They were dragging on the floor. It was hilarious. I guess we were really small ladies. lol
