There is a Ladies Tea today at our church and I made this gift set for the guest speaker. Her husband and her are here for our Annual Mission Conference. He's the special speaker for our conference.
I made this gift set with the retired DSP that I love and been hoarding. I love DSP and purchase every pack that SU! sells. I wanted to do a monogram card but I don't know her first name. i only know her last name. I guess last name will work too. Oh, well! I made these cards already. Hope she likes it. These are very simple cards but very pretty at the same time.
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by! I'm off to the tea party and afterwards we'll be at my niece's birthday party.

Happy Birthday Mika! and Pal's Paper Challenge
Happy Thursday, everyone! Very wet here today. Tonight is our first night of Mission Conference at my church gvbc.ca. If you are local come and visit us. The service starts at 7pm. There will be great preaching about being a missionary.
It is my niece's birthday's party this Saturday and I made two birthday cards. Well, I'm only giving her one of course. She is 1 years old and being one is very important. Gotta throw a big party to celebrate this special occasion.
I was visiting the Pal's Paper website after I made these cards and they have this pink colour challenge to celebrate cancer survivor. Now how wonderful is that! I had no idea they are doing pink. This is my first time participating in the challenge and I'm excited. You know why I'm excited? They are having a blog candy give away. Now that is exciting!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfulday!

Two Holiday Tags
Happy Monday, everyone! What do you think of these tags? I'm not a tag person but I like how these turned out.
I don't have this Two Tags Bigz Die yet. A friend gave these tags to me and I finally got a chance to play with. Now I really want this die.
I tried to put glitter on the ornament for this tag and the glitter covered the JOY word. I think it still looked good even though it is cover. It made the JOY word kinda part of the swirls.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Cardinal Christmas
Happy Thursday, everyone! Hope you all had a great week so far. Mine's pretty busy. I'm still trying catch up on my to do list but I rather be stamping. lol
I made this card with the left over DP from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' kit and old DSP laying around. I used markers to coloured the cardinal. I had to do the image twice because my youngest wanted to help and she helped alright. I got a double image when I stamped so I had to redo the colouring with markers again. Anyway, it turned out pretty nice.
Supplies:
stamp- Christmas Cardinal, Holidays Best
papers- whisper white, real red, chocolate chip, garden green, DSP
inks- old olive, markers
accessoires- grosgrain ribbon, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, scallop circle punch
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sharing In Your Sorrow
Hello, stampers! It is really rare I post on Sunday. This post was meant to be out on Saturday but I got side track doing something else and forgot to post it.
I don't make these cards often. But I did need some cards to give to our friends and their family. Their grandmother passed away on Monday and is with the Lord right now. We are rejoicing for her and someday we'll see her again up in heaven.
It took me less then 10 minutes to make these two cards. It was late when I made it so it was simple and plain. No ribbons or any kind of bling.
Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers! I'm so thankful for all of you who reads my blog everyday and for the wonderful comments you leave here. I thank God for His endless blessings to our family this year. Here are some recent blessings that God bless us with.
-I got an email from the teacher from the school we enroll our children in that they want to give us gift cards for groceries and clothing for our children for Christmas.
-My husband and I went to the Couples Retreat this past weekend and the fee was taken care of. We are not sure who paid for our retreat but "thank you" so much whoever you are.
-On Sunday our church had a food shower for families in need and we were blessed with all sorts of non perishable food.
What a wonderful Heavenly Father we have!
I want to leave you with some encouraging verses from the King James Version Bible.
Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Made this card for a friend. We are go over tonight to her house for Thanksgiving dinner.
Here is a little treat I made to give to her two children. I made the cone shape holder with the Bigz Scallop Square Die.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great Thanksgiving!

Pattern Pines Merry Christmas
Happy Thursday, everyone! Wow, it is already Thursday! I can't wait till tomorrow. My DH and I will be going to the annual Couple's Retreat host by Metro Baptist Church. It is always nice to go away with no children around. I love my children but it is nice to have a break from them once in awhile.
Another Pattern Pines card. Very simple one. Love this set! I think I'll have enough Christmas cards to give away when Christmas comes if I post one everyday. No, I wont do that to you. You'll get sick of seeing only Christmas all the way till Christmas time. lol

Pattern Pines
Happy Wednesday, stampers! Today's card uses the Pattern Pines Level 1 Hostess stamp set form the Holiday Mini. It is only available until January 4, 2010. The embossed background is the Petals-a-plenty Textured Impressions Folder is also from the mini.
The scallop behind the sentiment is from the scallop circle punch. I cut it in half and adhere it to the back of the sentiment. Was that a great idea or what? SU doesn't have a scallop circle big enough to go behind the 1 3/4" circle punch. Maybe in the new catty they will you'll never know.
Supplies:
stamps- Pattern Pines, All Holidays
papers- whisper white, old olive, DSP, chocolate chip
inks- old olive, real red, chocolate chip
acccessories- grosgrain ribbon, petals-a-plenty textured impression folder, big shot, 1 3/4" circle punch, scallop circle punch, scallop edge punch

Stenciling Masking Technique Tutorial
Happy Friday, everyone! I have a tutorial for you today. I use the Vintage Ornaments 1 stencils from the Definitely Decorative catalogue to make this card. It is fun and easy. You'll want to try it after you see this tutorial.
These are the supplies you'll need and a Big Shot machine of course. Can't fit it in the picture.
Place the stencil on top of the Whisper White card stock. Sponge Soft Suede ink onto the ornament.
I trace an ornament using a scrap piece of paper then cut it out. Then I place it onto the ornament that was sponged and place the scrap piece ornament on top.
Place the stencil back on top of the first ornament that have the scrap paper where you want the second ornament to be. Then sponge it with the Rich Razzleberrry ink.
This is how it looks like when you finish sponging and take the scrap ornament piece off.
Get the pattern stencil piece and place it onto the ornament. Use the Versa Mark pen and pen in the pattern onto both ornaments.
Pour gold embossing powder onto the ornaments and heat it with a heating tool.
Pierce a hole as shown on the picture above for the cord to go through. Do this to both of the ornaments.
Put the elastic cord through the holes and tie into a bow.
Stamp a sentiment at the bottom then mount the finished card front onto the card base.
