Stenciling Masking Technique Tutorial

Happy Friday, everyone! I have a tutorial for you today. I use the Vintage Ornaments 1 stencils from the Definitely Decorative catalogue to make this card. It is fun and easy. You'll want to try it after you see this tutorial.

These are the supplies you'll need and a Big Shot machine of course. Can't fit it in the picture.

Place the stencil on top of the Whisper White card stock. Sponge Soft Suede ink onto the ornament.

I trace an ornament using a scrap piece of paper then cut it out. Then I place it onto the ornament that was sponged and place the scrap piece ornament on top.

Place the stencil back on top of the first ornament that have the scrap paper where you want the second ornament to be. Then sponge it with the Rich Razzleberrry ink.

This is how it looks like when you finish sponging and take the scrap ornament piece off.

Get the pattern stencil piece and place it onto the ornament. Use the Versa Mark pen and pen in the pattern onto both ornaments.

Pour gold embossing powder onto the ornaments and heat it with a heating tool.

Pierce a hole as shown on the picture above for the cord to go through. Do this to both of the ornaments.

Put the elastic cord through the holes and tie into a bow.

Stamp a sentiment at the bottom then mount the finished card front onto the card base.

Happy Stamping!
Deanna
