Tag For a Hat

Hello, everyone! How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was very relaxing this year. I like it that way. I have already taken the tree down. My kids didn't mind at all. They usually whine when I want to take the tree down early but not this year.

I want to show you what I made to go with the hat. I incorporated stamping with the hat I sell. A friend gave me this idea. This was a fast and simple tag I made. I would like to make a better one later that will have the name "Passion for Hats" on the tag. Will have to order the personalize stamp for that.

I used the Extra Large Decorative Label Punch for the tag. For the longest time I couldn't figure out what to do with this punch. I had it ever since the Holiday Mini catalogue was out and now the Occasions Mini will be out soon. The little crocheted flower on the tag was from Helen. It was so nice of her to crochet me a whole bunch of mini flowers for me to play with. Thank you Helen!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Baby Shower Gifts

Hello, everyone! Happy Wednesday. Getting close to Christmas and I'm still not finish with my shopping yet. I'm so behind this year on everything.

Went to a baby shower this past weekend and it was a lovely one. Very relaxing and the decorations was beautiful. I forgot to bring my camera so no picture of the shower.

I crocheted a hat for the baby. This is a different flower I made just for the baby. The other flower I usually make is too big for a new born. It was nice to make something so little. Didn't take me long at all.
ETA: I have no pattern for this hat.

I made some "thank you" cards for the mom to give away. The mother loved these "thank you" cards and she said they are too nice to give away. She is so silly. They are MADE to give away.

Thank you for visiting my blog this busy time of year! Hope you all are having fun shopping and preparing for the holidays. I love Christmas time even if it is so busy all the time. I'm praying for snow on Christmas day. It's just not the same if there is no snow.

Season's Greetings Card

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I was able to make a card to show you. I used the Bells and Boughs stamp set. Very nice set but that means I have to do some colouring. I coloured the poinsettias in with the markers. I used Real Red and Pretty in Pink markers for the flowers and Garden Green for the pines. Did the Top Note die and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder for the background paper that goes behind the poinsettias. Randomly stamped the card front with the hollies in Crumb Cake ink to give it a soft look.

Welcome Christmas Card

Hello, everyone! Happy Wednesday! Here is a Christmas card I made using the Welcome Christmas stamp set. Did the Petals a Plenty embossing on the Garden Green cardstock and cut it out with the Scallop Circle die and the Big Shot machine. I added Dazzling Diamonds on the Christmas tree for some glittering.

Thank for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Ornament Cards

Happy Monday, everyone! I had a fun and busy weekend. Did a Christmas Cantata at church yesterday and it was a great turnout. The auditorium was full. The theme this year for the cantata was "The King Of Love." Wonderful message in the songs we sang. Jesus is the reason for the season. He came to this earth long time ago to die on the cross for our sins. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.

Here are two ornament cards I made using the Circle Scallop die and the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder. The stamp set is the Welcome Christmas found in the Idea Book and Catalogue.

Joy Christmas Card

Hello, everyone! Here is the last Christmas card we did for the stamp-a stack class. This Season of Joy stamp set is an old set but a good one. It has been around for 3 or maybe 4 catalogue years now. We did embossing on the background using the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and the Big Shot machine. The embossing made the background looked so pretty. We put Chunky Glitter in the middle of the poinsettia to give it some glittery look to the card.

Holiday Greetings Snowflakes

Hello, everyone! Happy Monday! This past weekend was very busy for me which is not something new these days. I was shopping and decorating our church. It is a first for me. The church is so much bigger than my house so trying to decorating it was a challenge. My
DH helped me with all the decorating too. He was a big help to me.

Here is another card we made at the stamp-a stack class. I think it is called a Z fold but I'm not sure. We used the Northern Flurry embossing folder on this card. Anything snowflake I own them. Did the Rock n' Roll technique on the main image snowflake. This technique is so easy to do.

Merry Christmas Ornament

Hello there, everyone! How are you all doing today? Here is one of the stamp-a stack cards we made Monday night. I took some time away from crocheting to have a class. It was fun to stamp with my new customer and get to know her.

Here is a votive candle holder favour she made for her wedding this past summer. She gave one to me. That's so sweet of her.

She used the Scallop Circle punch and the 1-1/2" Circle punch for her tag. A very simple favour she made. There is also some basil seeds inside the holder so all her friends can grow the basil themselves. The basil goes with her wedding theme "Grow Your Love." I think it is so sweet and thoughtful of her to give a wedding favour that is useful for everyone.

Pretty Florets and Rosettes

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday! Can't believe tomorrow is December. Time sure fly by so fast this year.
I got this in the mail from a blogger friend Helen. Aren't these pretty. I think she made all of these rosettes and florets. The rosettes are made out of paper and have glitters on them. So pretty IRL. The florets are crocheted. I guess she crocheted these. Very talented lady.

Here is a close up of the card. See the flower on the card? Must be a lot of work punching those petal out and put them together. So so so pretty. I love the flower, Helen, Thank you for all these goodies. Can't wait to use them on my cards.

Thank you all for visiting today. Gotta go and crochet some more hats.

NSR: Crocheted Hats

Happy Saturday, everyone! I have a non stamping related post today for you. I crocheted these hats for my daughters and they wore them to church. I could never have guessed what happened next. People started to order these hats! It takes about two hours to crochet one. This is what is keeping me busy these days. Not many hours left in the day to do any stamping.

My husband and I went to a Couple's Retreat in Sumas, WA. last week. It sure was windy there. We both didn't have hats so I crocheted a matching colour (not style) hats for my husband and for myself to keep warm. I made a new style for myself. It looks a little like the one my daughters are wearing in the pics but it a little different. I wore it around Costco after the retreat and the ladies from my church saw me with the hat and now they all want one. Wow! Now I'm so busy crocheting hats. I might go crazy by the time Christmas comes around. Just kidding. I love to crochet so I'll never get bored of it.

Thank you for stopping by.

ETA: Sorry, I don't have a pattern for this hat. I copied a hat that I saw. Seriously, I don't even know how to read a crocheting pattern. Too confusing or maybe to lazy to learn. lol

Christmas Cardinal

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Happy Thanksgiving to all my US blog reader. Hope all a wonderful time with family and eat lots of turkey.

Here is Christmas card made with the set Christmas Cardinal. I coloured the bird in with a blender pen to give it a soft look. I'm not very good at colouring but I like to do it form time to time. Most of my stamp sets are ones that don't need colouring in. Just stamp and mount onto a card.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas Can

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday. It is so cold here these couple of days but I'm glad it is sunny today. We had snow on the weekend and then it was gone. We don't get much snow here in Vancouver so when it snows it is a treat. To me it is but not so much for people who goes to work.

Here is a small paint can I picked up at the dollar store. I dressed it up with the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper and then added the Tinsel Trim to the can. I used the Flower Folds bigz die and cut the Deck The Halls Designer Fabrics to make the flower. I put a Deck The Halls Designer Buttons in the middle of the flower and tied the button with the bakers twine to add a nice touch to the flower.

Thank you for stopping by!

Rose Wedding Card

Happy Friday, everyone! Here is a wedding card I made for my MIL for her to give away to the marry couple. She loved the card very much. I made this late at night and made two of it which I'm glad I did. I didn't have a chance to take a picture before I gave it to her so making an extra one was a good thing.
This card is a 6"x6" card. The background paper was an old one I bought long time ago and never use it until now. Yes, I hoard ummm I mean collect designer papers and it is getting out of hand. Have to use them up. They are taking up all my spaces in the house.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful long weekend!

Christmas Matchbox

Here a matchbox I made with the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper. I made the flower behind the tag from the Deck the Halls Designer Fabric. I used the left overs from another project I made for my two daughters.

I filled the box with the York mint patty. You can fill the box with anything you want. It is a wonderful little box favours. I wanted to make tags like the one shown in the Holiday Mini Catalogue p.25. I don't have that set so I could not do it. I'll have to search for my old tag set but after I moved my stamping room I'm not sure where I put it now. sigh!

Candy Cane Holder

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm glad it is Friday even though it is gloomy outside. I have been busy crocheting a lot of little hats for little girls and now I'm crocheting for adults too. I'll be crocheting for my nieces for Christmas when I'm done with all the orders.

Here is a Christmas version of the cutlery holder I made for the fall for my church Nursery Meeting. You can view it here.

I tied candy canes with Baker's twine put them inside the pocket but you can put anything you want in this holder. I got this twine from a good friend a couple of years ago and never know what to do with it until now. I punched a hole at the top so that I can hang it on a Christmas tree.
I did the ruffling look on the ribbon. I used the taffeta ribbon, fray one end, take a strand of thread and pull to ruffle it. I didn't realized I used the colours of the American flag to make this holder until I finished the project. lol

Foliage Thank You

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! I guess I should say happy Saturday. It was a busy day and I never got around to post this. I made this "thank yous" for my sister. She want something unisex and that is hard to do as most of my stamps are flowers. She loved this one so I'm making them for her.

Well, I better go and get some sleep. Saturday is another busy day for me. Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Love Box

Happy Thursday, everyone! Rainy day here in Vancouver but I like it that I get to stay home where it is warm inside. More reason to do some stamping.

A friend asked me to make a box cover for her. She made four clips for the table for a friend of hers. I'm not what they are called but you clip them to the four corners of the table to make your table look nice. She had the box bottom but needed the top. At first she wanted me to make an acetate top but I don't have any acetate. So I made a paper top instead.

I made the top to match the colours of the clips. What do you think? I really like it. My DH really loved it. It wasn't hard to make the top but it was hard to tape them together. Not very easy to work with something so big. I had to stamped the swirls 4 times before I get it right. I also made a cardboard backing to hold the clips down. I used the cardboard from the backing of the Designer Series Paper. Those backing are really useful.

Well, I'll be giving this box to her tonight. Our church is having our annual Missions Conference so I'll be seeing her. Gotta go and thank you for visiting today!

Nursery Meeting Decorations

Here are some pictures I took of the decorations. Not very fancy but I like it. Wish they have different colour table cloths for me to choose from.

I bought the center piece from Superstore (a Canadian supermarket).

I spread all the leaves on the table and I made pumpkins too to go on the table.

Here a close up of the pumpkins. Each pumpkin has 12 scallop circles or scallop ovals. I sponge each and everyone of them. It took me a long time to punch, glue and sponge all these pumpkins. I glad it is over. All the ladies loved the decorations. They were over joy when I let them take everything home. They literally took everything. Except the center piece that belongs to the church.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

For those of you who emailed me for the template for the holder I'll email you it to you when I get a chance to put it into the computer. I have to wait for my DH to help me with that. He's the computer pro in the family.

Cutlery Holder

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Today is a very busy day for me. I'm babysitting and after that I'll be going to a Nursery Meeting at night. So what's all those things in the above picture? They are cutlery holders. This was what I was talking about for the pass few days.

I made these to decorate for the Nursery Meeting. I made the pattern to hold a fork, a knife and a spoon. What do you think? You like? I love this holder!

Here is how it looks like with the cutlery in it.

Here is a close up of the front of the holder. The leaves are die cut. I sponged the leaves in Chocolate Chip ink and my fingers looked all brown after I don't know how many leaves I sponged. I made leaves to go on the table also so I'll show you that tomorrow.

Autumn Thank You Card

Hello, everyone! Happy Wednesday! What a beautiful sunny fall weather today. Don't you just love the feeling of fall weather? I love all those changing colour of the leaves on the trees. They are so beautiful.

Here is a card inspired by all those beautiful fall leaves. This is a new stamp set called French Foliage from the Holiday Mini Catalogue. There are wonderful new stamp sets in there I must have. Not so crazy for the Halloween stuff. I love the the Designer Fabric Stampin'Up! is selling. I love fabrics. I used to sew a lot and make tons and tons of outfit. Now you have to have lots of money to sew. It is so much cheaper to buy clothing than sew them. Sigh!

Halloween Treats

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! I don't celebrate Halloween but my sisters and nephew does. So I made these little treat for them to give to their friends at school.

A sour cream container with a little bag of Mott's Fruit Sensation inside.

The sour cream container is made with a quarter sheet of Whisper White cardstock. The bottom of the container is sealed and the top it not. The opening is tie with a ribbon and can be open when you take the ribbon out. This way the kids (might) not ruin the container if any of them care to keep it. But with kids you never know.

Thank you fro stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
